He answered all my questions and gave me the confidence I needed after a few bad experiences with other dentists. I've already scheduled my next cleaning and will be back to get some treatment done. Dr. Chemla is extremely warm, kind, light hearted, and comforting as I was quite distressed about the future of my front teeth. He was happy to explain each step in my repair and I never felt confused or unsure about the next steps. During the period of time that I had a temporary tooth, he made sure I knew he was always available if something happened and it came off. I also really appreciated how after every visit he would check up on me later that day with how the tooth was feeling/looking. On top of his welcoming demeanor, he has been by far the best experience I've had with getting numbing shots and work done. He explains everything he's doing and genuinely values you having a good experience. I used to dread getting numbed but after many painless visits to him, it wasn't a concern anymore. As far as the work that got done, I genuinely cannot see a difference between my real teeth and the repairs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or result!

Then I went to Dr. Chemla and he discovered a fine crack in my tooth which was causing the pain. He fixed the crack and I haven't had any pain since. The treatment process has three components; learning, experience , and inner genius to create . The last one is inborn , no one can obtain it, it is something which only few are capable of.
The specialist whom Dr. Chemla directed me , Dr. Abdy Moshrefi, performed a task no one could; he removed the dental implant sitting on the nerve, and he did it  in most safe way, and saved my life.
I call Dr. Abdy Moshrefi "Mozart of the Dental science,"
meanwhile I call Dr. Marc Chemla "The Architect of the Dental science."

Dr. Chemla is one who sees all, understands all, solves all in dental science/practice .

He holds a very welcoming and pleasant environment, and not to mention a super friendly and genuine staff.   I think I might win for patient with the longest history with Marc Chemla - I've been seeing him since before he opened his own practice, way back in 1997!... read more  He is amazingly talented, meticulous, funny, gorgeous, French... NO ONE can give a shot like this man!  You don't feel it.  
With the exception of his hiatus (which almost killed me), he has taken care of me - through cavities, bonding, TMJ, night guards, veneers, gum contouring, and now this crazy ceramic root anatomical implant that I went over to Austria to get.  He has patiently hand-crafted various temps and crowns for it, since nothing like it exists in the US; not stopping until it is perfect, and documenting the entire process.
He is like family.  To this day, I'm in contact with his former assistant.  His new office and staff are lovely, and there's free parking in the garage, just a few doors down.
I went through 5 different dentists and a lot of pain while he was away.  Not one of them compared.  Two were so bad, their work required complicated replacement.
Thank God he's back.  My reaction to his return to the US says it all - "You just made my f-ing life!"

His demeanor, his knowledge, his general manner are all exemplary.  I realize that dental appointments are not fun but this is the best that it gets.  I was told early on by one of his receptionists that Dr. Chemla has a "gentle touch" and he does.  Getting cavities filled is nobody's idea of a picnic but he has always made it as painless as possible.

He introduced me to my need for a night guard which has really saved my teeth.  He replaced my mercury-laden fillings so not only is my mouth healthier but it looks like I have fewer cavities.  And I've had such a huge success with his teeth bleaching.

On top of all this, his regular cleanings and check ups are the best I've ever had.

I know we live in an age of hyperbole which generally drives me crazy.  In this particular case, I cannot praise Dr. Chemla highly enough.  I am so fortunate to know him.
